These sample strategies are not specific as to any actions that will be taken to actually accomplish them, yet they help set the tone and direction for all activities that might be employed during the year. Next, it’s time to build a marketing mix with your tactical actions. In other words, it’s time to develop your to-do list for next year. The old saying telling you not to put all eggs in one basket is essentially true as you plan out your year – instead, run parallel marketing activities in order to make sure your target audience receives your message. You may want to form referral relationships with attorneys and CPAs specializing in working with foreign naturals. They may even consider putting an article written by you in their newsletters or presentation materials. You may also place banner ads on websites specifically providing information to such investors. Before you do any one thing, look at a number of options available to you and select a few that combined likely will help you garner attention in this growing target group. Online Marketing Have you created a web presence? These days, a static website simply is not gathering the attention you need. Cyber-visitors look for advice and guidance and they will find it online – will it be at your website? What are you currently doing to attract buyers and sellers to your online marketplace and once they are there, what are you offering them? You may consider posting informative news articles written by others as well as yourself. You should make sure your November / December 2007 11 Social Marketing You may consider joining a local non-profit PINELLAS REALTOR® ORGANIZATION
