That statement certainly is true for anyone looking to purchase a home, yet perhaps now more than ever is the message especially fitting for those planning to buy their first home. Interest rates are at a record low and home prices have dropped in the last few years to reach drastically more affordable levels. Consumers have more homes to choose from compared to a few years ago and FHA loan limits have increased. If that wasn’t enough, a new law even gives first-time home buyers a temporary tax credit.
