The ESHIA Disclosure Report has since been released and is available on the project website at www.angolalng.com. In designing and implementing this project, the Angola LNG Project is dedicated to conducting its operations in a safe and responsible manner while protecting the environment. The Community By commercializing natural gas resources and facilitating new oil and gas development, the Angola LNG Project is expected to provide critical revenue to Angola, serve as a channel for the country’s reconstruction and growth, and establish a foundation for the development of a domestic gas business. The project has held over one hundred meetings and workshops in various locations in Angola to provide information on the project and to seek the views of the government, local people, and other interested parties. The project will continue to engage interested parties throughout its various stages. A goal of the Angola LNG Project is to continue this process of proactive and transparent sharing of information and knowledge to increase mutual understanding and collaboration between the project, those in Soyo and, more broadly, Angola. The Angola LNG Project will contribute to the growth, development, and environmental safety of the local community of Soyo by: • Creating jobs; • Providing training; • Developing infrastructure; • Providing gas for domestic industrial use; • Reducing CO2 emissions in the region; • Using local services and businesses. In order to facilitate communication with the various stakeholders, the Angola LNG Project has opened an information center in Soyo where people can obtain information about the project. At the forefront of the oil and gas industry, the Angola LNG Project will increase production of existing and undiscovered oil and gas reserves, while reducing the negative effects of greenhouse gas emission. This project will act as a channel towards the growth and reconstruction of Angola through the production and exportation of clean fuel and valuable derivatives.
