She comes to ShutShut terfly after five years at Tivo, where she helped increase the subscriber base from hundreds to more than four million and increased the company’s brand awareness. Previously, she oversaw the marketing departments at Real Sports Magazine and the San Jose Lasers of the American Basketball League. Ho holds a master’s degree in educational policy analysis and two bachelor’s degrees from Stanford. Jaime Kalfus has been appointed Chief Insights Officer for The Bravo Group. As the Chief Insights Officer, Kalfus is responsible for the overall developdevelop ment of the strategic and account planning functions throughout The Bravo Group. Most recently, Kalfus was the Associate DirecDirec tor of Brand Planning at Deutsch, where she served as the interim leader of the department. In that role, she was responsible for the strategic direction on J&J/McNeil, the agency’s largest client, as well as guiding the brand vision on the Olympus new business win. Prior to Deutsch, Kalfus spent most of her career at Young & Rubicam Brands building iconic brands with award-winning communications. Kalfus has been honored with numerous awards including Effies, One Show and WPP’s Atticus. Brenda Scott, vice president of sales, services and marketing at the Arlington (TX) Convention and Visitors Bureau, is one of four recipients of the 2008 52 w w w. d ive r s it y mb a ma g a z in e. c o m Black Meetings and Tourism APEX Distinguished Service Award. The honor is presented to individuals whose career contributions have provided long-term benefits for the travel industry and its African-American market segment, and represent a national level of prominence. Scott is a 20-year veteran of the industry with a track record of achievement in high-profile positions. Before coming to Arlington, she served as vice president of member and community relations with the Metropolitan Tucson (AZ) Convention and Visitors Bureau, and as president and CEO of the Mobile Bay (AL) Convention and Visitors Bureau. The National Minority Supplier Development Corporation (NMSDC) honored Michael K. Robinson, IBM Global Supplier Diversity’s program director, as its 2007 Minority Supplier Development Leader of the Year. He was recognized at NMSDC’s annual conference in Miami in October, for his role in establishing “innovative supplier development activities and demonstrating leadership across industry groups and around the country.” IBM was the first information technology company to spend $1 billion with diverse-owned businesses. Under Robinson’s leadership, IBM was selected as NMSDC’s Corporation of the Year in 2005. It also received the Frances Perkins Vanguard Award from the United States Small Business Association. At the NMSDC conference, IBM also received a special appreciation award for its long-standing support of the organization’s international programs and for its commitment to helping minority businesses compete in the global economy. A 23-year IBM veteran, Robinson has spent his entire career in procurement. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cheyney University and an MBA from Atlanta University. Cintas Corporation has promoted J. Phillip Holloman to President and COO. Holloman joined Cintas in 1996, and has helped the uniform and supplies provider achieve cost savings and greater efficiencies in several Vice President-level positions.
