It is the first full semester course component of a comprehensive, completely integrated yearlong course of study for grades 9-12. Spanish I A helps students comprehend and communicate the Spanish language and gain awareness of Spanish-speaking cultures. Sixty-eight lessons, divided into 17 weekly units, focus on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading and writing. All lessons contain a study guide, practice activities and a mastery test, and each unit includes interactive games such as crossword puzzles, word searches and trivia.
