The SignagePlayer mp8000s and mp8000r include Scala’s QuickStart digital signage software preinstalled, which features a simple visual interface and enables users to create sophisticated layouts with images, text, Flash animations, RSS feeds and interactive content. A selection of professional templates simpliﬁes the process of choosing slide designs, and the players can display content in either 720p (mp8000s) or 1080p (mp8000r) HD resolution. www.hp.com/go/digitalsignage • AMERICAN READING COMPANY SchoolPace, $7,300 per classroom (for complete ACTION 100 package) American Reading Company’s SchoolPace is a new Web-based student data tracking dashboard, which tracks and reports measures of student reading growth and is a key component of the company’s ACTION 100 Response-to-Intervention program. Teachers and administrators enter students’ reading data into the Web-based program, which organizes and reports the information through a variety of metrics. SchoolPace then alerts users if students, classrooms, schools, families, the district as a whole, or other custom-made groups have met speciﬁc academic milestones or have fallen behind, and users can access this real-time achievement data at any time and from any location. • eINSTRUCTION Mobi View, $449 eInstruction’s new slate device is designed to act as a “mobile interactive whiteboard,” providing interactivity while enabling the teacher to move around the classroom. It is the ﬁrst such product to include a touchscreen display, which provides one-touch access to ﬁles, applications, Web sites and more from a screen at the top of the slate. Used in combination with a computer and projector, Mobi View allows teachers to control content projected on the screen wirelessly, or conduct ongoing assessments using eInstruction’s ExamView software and CPS student-response devices, with the results displayed privately on its touchscreen.
