Letters Supporting Site Review I’m speechless! The review of our Web site (“How Well Does This Web Site Work?” March 2008) is such a wonderful article. There are many people who are going to be excited about this, and the suggestions are great. I will pass on the link so all can see. Thanks to contributing writer Kurt Dyrli for his time and eﬀorts. I was just reading your Inside the Law article (“Tougher Penalties for Abusive Teachers,” March 2008) while a news conference featured Eliot Spitzer resigning his position as New York governor. Spitzer had a reputation as being extremely tough on crime especially on prostitution. Your article states that Spitzer had supported automatic suspension of sex oﬀender teachers. I agree with this statement, but I also think maybe you should choose your references a little better. Dan Hoesly, superintendent Wheeler Central Schools, Bartlett, Neb. reporting was accurate and vitally needed information for K12 administrators. Your repeated emphasis on the importance of visual supports and the value of multiple approaches in general are valuable insights. Our school has made exceptional progress with our students with this philosophy over the last six years. Given the importance and cost of educating children with autism, I encourage your continued reporting on these matters, to the beneﬁt of public school ﬁnances as well as the welfare of the children. Practical Suggestions A union issue story in District Administration (“Rotten Apples,” May 2006) was one of the few I have found that oﬀer practical suggestions for new administrators faced with the prospect of dealing successfully with incompetent teachers. I am using copies of the article in a presentation to my 30 fellow administrative credential program students at San Jose State University in California.
