CATCH www.catchinfo.org The CATCH Go for Health Curriculum and CATCH Physical Education Activity teach children to identify, practice and adopt healthy eating and physical activity habits for a lifetime. Here are five creative ways to get them moving: • Encourage teachers to include physical activities for students of all abilities in learning exercises, like nature walks and outdoor scavenger hunts. • Add a couple of 10 minute movement breaks during the day. • Plan school-wide activity fundraisers such as walk-a-thons around the school property. • Get the community involved with family fitness events like family nights at the local Y or community center and fun days at a local park. • Schedule recess before lunch to allow more time for play.
