Technology has changed everything in college recruitment and admission offices have been slow to respond. As more students rely on Facebook and other social media sites to find information and text messaging becomes the preferred form of communication, enrollment management leaders may now wish to reconsider the structure in the admission office and the job descriptions of admission counselors. Hear suggestions for a new approach that will allow recruitment offices to more effectively respond to new technological realities to improve outcomes. Looking Back: A Review of Auburn University’s Tablet Program Speakers: Ashley Burt, Director of Information Technology, Auburn University; Jason Chavers, Info Tech Spec IV, Auburn University Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine has had a student tablet program for the past three years. In this session, we will look back at how the program has changed over this time period. The discussion will include changes in infrastructure, personnel, policies, and support contracts. We will also review our success in achieving the project goals based on feedback from our students. This session will be helpful for anyone considering a student laptop or tablet program in their schools. Partnering to Achieve PCI Compliance Speaker: Cathy Hubbs, CISO, American University Introduced several years ago, there’s still much misunderstanding about PCI and how to achieve cost-effective compliance. Further, due to the decentralized proliferation of credit card acceptance locations at universities, risk remains considerable. The presentation will feature a case study covering experiences with PCI at American University and the partnerships formed to begin the PCI compliance journey.
