UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND President The University of Richmond seeks nominations for its ninth president in its 176-year history. The new president will succeed William E. Cooper, who will step down by June 30, 2007 having served in the position since 1998. Recognized as one of America's premiere private liberal arts universities, the Uni- versity of Richmond offers demanding undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its schools of arts and sciences, business, leadership studies, law and continu- ing studies.
