self-titled - no. 1 - (Page 23) 1 2 3 4 5 1. Rotation (record store) http://www.rotation-records.de This is very close to my flat. It is a very small and lovely record shop in the Mitte area of Berlin. And it is so lovely in summer when you can sit in the small park next to it. There is a very vivid and interesting ambiance there! 2. Alexanderplatz (TV tower) http://www.berlinerfernsehturm.de One of Berlin’s classic spots, of course. And such a lovely place! When you sit on top, you have an amazing view over Berlin. I love it most at nights, when all the lights of the city are turned on and Berlin just glows! When I was a child, I always saw it, but I never could visit it because of the Wall. When the Wall came down in 1989, it was one of the first things I did—go there and watch all of Berlin's roofs. 3. Hardwax (record store) http://www.hardwax.com Hardwax has a very important role in Berlin‘s music history—they coined the sound of the city. Basic Channel is a product of Hardwax’s surroundings, and even today I buy records regularly there, once a week, together with [my labelmate] Sascha Funke. 4. City Yoga Berlin (yoa center) http://www.cityyogaberlin.com I love yoga. And City Yoga is like an oasis for me, where I regain and recover. I try to take classes there twice a week. It's also very close to my flat. 5. U-Bhf. Weinmeisterstr. (metro station) http://www.bvg.de Quite a historical—and, nevertheless, very present—place, where the subway lets you out directly into the heart of Berlin. From here, you can start visiting all the galleries in Auguststrasse and Linienestrasse. You can have shopping in Alte und Neue Schönhauserstraße, Rosenthaler Strasse. And you are very close to Hackescher Markt and the BPitch Control office! http://www.rotation-records.de http://www.berlinerfernsehturm.de http://www.cityyogaberlin.com http://www.bvg.de http://www.hardwax.com
