Simply visit the Issue Archive and Events Calendar to gather this information. Why, you may ask? Well here’re a few examples. Perhaps you’ve misplaced or dispensed with your September 2007 issue of Chemical Processing, but you now need a bit of information that you recall was in the cover story, “Plug cyber-security gaps.” Not to worry. The information is just a couple of clicks away in our online Issue Archive. On the far left side of our home page, in the gray Site Resources menu, you’ll find the Issue Archive listed as the third item from the top. Click on it, and an array of your day-to-day challenges at work. Perhaps a motor breaks down or you need advice about the latest developments in pumps or vacuum systems. It’s all there, ready and waiting when you need it. Maybe you’re looking ahead to educational opportunities within the chemicals industry. Just two items down from the Issue Archive you’ll find our Events Calendar. Click on it and you’ll find a list of conferences, symposia and conventions that you can attend to enhance your knowledge. Say you can’t quite recall exactly when the 24th International Pump Users Symposium is scheduled and you’d like to attend. As you page down, searching for it, you’ll see summaries of available gatherings along with the dates and locations of each event. And there’s the pump symposium listed under the May 2008 items. Click on the highlighted link, and you’ll be taken to http://turbolab.tamu.edu/pumpshow/pump.html where you can register for the event, find a hotel room, look over the daily schedule, see what technical sessions are available and learn about the technical sessions. Additionally, if you’d like to submit an event for the Events Calendar, click on the link at the bottom of the first heading and it brings you to http://www. ChemicalProcessing.com/events/submit_event.html. You’ll find a convenient form to fill out all the pertinent information about the event, which will then be added to the roster. Of course, it isn’t necessary to go to the Issue Archive or Events Calendar menus if you know exactly what you want. Whether you’re looking for a specific author, topic or event, you can simply type that information into the search bar in the top right corner of the home page and then click on the orange arrow to the right of the box. A list of matching items will be displayed on your screen. On our Web site and in print, we aim to provide you with the timely information you need about the profession in which you work. For the back issues ranging from March 2008 to 2006, there are digital editions of the magazine that you can actually page through as if you had a printed copy of the issue in your hands if you prefer that over the article listing. For back issues preceding 2006, clicking on the cover of a particular issue gets you a list of articles to choose from for that issue. Of course, the current issue is added to the archive each month.
