The line includes a segment protector for use with both Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus PA and a Foundation Fieldbus power supply. The segment protectors serve as an interface between trunk cable and various field devices. They provide short-circuit protection to field devices and the network trunk cable. The hot-swappable T-bus system makes it easy to expand the system or segment, or to perform maintenance, without disrupting network communication. Phoenix Contact (800) 322-3225 www.phoenixcon.com coNtroLLer ProvIdeS INteGrAted coNtroL LooP FuNctIoNALItY The EZ-ZONE PM controller extends the integrated control loop functions first introduced in the EZ-ZONE ST integrated controller to the 1/32 and 1/16 DIN panel mount package sizes. The controller offers solutions to reduce system complexity and lower the cost of control loop ownership. It can be configured in a variety of ways: as a discrete PID controller with adaptive tuning, as a discrete, agency approved, over/ under limit controller, or as an integrated control loop solution by combining the PID functionality, over/under limit functionality and high amperage No-Arc power switching output in a single panel mount package. Combining these features reduces the required panel space, the cost of wiring and of installing multiple discrete components. Watlow (800) WATLOW2 www.watlow.com PreSSure trANSducerS PerForM IN HArSH eNvIroNMeNtS The M5100 and U5100 pressure transducers are designed for use in industrial applications that require long-term stability in harsh environmental conditions. The M5100 features proprietary Microfused technology in a compact, rugged, vibration resistant package. The U5100 features an ultrastable MEMS die within an oil-filled stainless steel isolated capsule diaphragm to provide superior accuracy in low pressure (<150 psi) applications. Measurement Specialties (800) 767-1888 www.meas-spec.com FLow Meter BoAStS eFFectIve coNdItIoNING The ST75V air/gas flow meter, which can be used with all gases, combines highly reliable, no-moving-parts thermal mass flow sensing technology with precision Vortab flow conditioning to achieve ±1% reading, ±0.5% fullscale accuracy, in line sizes from 0.25 in. to 2 in. (6 to 51mm). The built-in flow conditioning eliminates media disturbances while reducing the needed pipe straight-run by up to 70%. It features a unique, engineered array of tabs that provide rapid cross-stream mixing to remove swirl and velocity problems, creating a smooth, fully developed flow profile for accurate measurement. There is also virtually no pressure loss with Vortab technology, which reduces plant energy costs by optimizing throughput.
