Plant Services - April 2008 - (Page 69) PRODUCT PICKS MERV 8 filtER cuts EnERgy cost The MERV 8 (ASHRAE 52.2-2007) 30/30 high-efficiency, radial-pleat panel filter offers long service life and a low end-of-life pressure drop. Pleats are secured by a welded wire grid, spot-welded on 1 in. centers, treated for extended corrosion protection and bonded to the media to prevent oscillation. A high-strength frame virtually eliminates bypass, and the 30/30 is guaranteed to 2.0 in. w.g. without media pack failure. Earning the highest performance rating – five stars – on the energy cost index, it meets requirements of the U.S. Green Building Council (LEED) for efficiency, energy savings and reduced disposal impact. The software takes a production flowchart and digitizes it, connecting the people, materials, equipment and systems involved in the work process. Common use cases include managing the data between systems, digitizing standard operating procedures and work instructions, HACCP monitoring procedures and corrective action, and alarm and event response. Unlike business process management in the enterprise – which operates in hours and days – industrial workflow operates in a time window of seconds and subseconds. • • • • Pressure & Flow LDT Inductive & Capacitive Level & Analog GE Fanuc (800) GE-FANUC www.gefanuc.com/workflow • Junctions • Cordsets & Receptables • 450+ Cable Options push-to-connEct systEM EasEs hyDRaulic REpaiRs A universal push-to-connect (UPTC) assembly system provides fast, efficient, leak-free connections for compact fluid power systems. Using the company’s Seal-Lok O-ring face seal (ORFS) adapter or EO metric bite-type fittings, the system is suitable for rigid inch and metric tubing, hydraulic hose and thermoplastic hose assemblies involving tube-hose, tube-port and hose-port connections. Its male geometry allows easy substitution on any existing Seal-Lok or EO fitting system without changeovers. Disassembly with a wrench exposes a standard connector end. If the hose is damaged, the assembly can be replaced with a standard ORFS hose assembly. No special connector is required for field repair, but the damaged assembly can be replaced with a new UPTC connection if desired. • All Major Networks • Remote I/O • Network Cables Parker Hannifin (800) C-Parker www.parker.com Call us with your next application: 1-800-544-7769 email: turckusa@turck.com April 2008 www.PLANTSERVICES.com www.turck.com © 2008 TURCK, Inc. http://www.turck.com http://www.merv-8-filters.com http://www.gefanuc.com/workflow http://www.parker.com http://www.turck.com http://www.PLANTSERVICES.com
