Plant Services - April 2008 - (Page 70) Power uP via ethernet The EKI-2525P compact, rugged, five-port unmanaged Ethernet switch offers Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology to connect and power Ethernet devices over a single cable. More formally known as IEEE 802.3af internationally, PoE specifies a supply of 48 VDC at 15.4 W maximum per port to transmit power plus data to remote Ethernet devices over standard twisted-pair Cat 5e cables. The EKI2525P has 4 PoE ports that can automatically detect when PoE-compliant devices are attached, before supplying power, allowing the use of traditional (non-PoE) Ethernet devices if needed. A compact and thin DIN-rail mount chassis is ruggedized for industrial applications, with dual 12 VDC to 48 VDC power inputs, 4,000 VDC Ethernet ESD protection, power line surge (EFT) protection of 3,000 VDC, and an operating temperature range of -10°C to 60°C. Advantech (800) 205-7940 www.advantech.com versatile dynamic signal analyzers The 640e and 650e Series Ethernet-enabled dynamic signal analyzers have total harmonic distortion of -100 dB (typical), 24-bit ADC per channel analog inputs, and eight-bit digital I/O ports. Four inputs on the 640e and five inputs on the 650e can be used to measure acceleration, velocity, proximity, pressure and tachometer signals. Other features include tight channel-to-channel phase matching, TEDS and IEPE source support on the first four channels, and selectable AC/DC coupling. Four software packages are each tailored to a particular type of vibration measurement and analysis application: throughput multiplechannel, online rotating machinery, balancing and resonance quality inspection. Driver support for DASYLab is now available for all 600 Series devices. IOtech (440) 439-4091 www.iotech.com coat that concrete High-performance, non-VOC formulations for protecting concrete floors, walkways, ramps, platforms and walls against harsh chemicals, solvents, hydrocarbons, acids and alkalis are easily applied without special tools or training. The gray, epoxy-based coatings attain functional cure (for foot traffic) in 24 hours, drying to durable, attractive finishes that are easy to clean. Epoxy Coat 7000 NonVOC is self-leveling and can be applied to smooth or mildly spalled concrete. Epoxy Coat 7000 AR (acid-resistant) is a novolac floor-coating system that withstands sulfuric acid concentrations as high as 98%. Epoxy Coat 6500 NonVOC is designed for large coating jobs such as warehouse floors, and Epoxy Concrete Sealer is a self-leveling, clear epoxy sealer that can be used as a chemicalresistant primer on damp concrete floors at temperatures as low as 40°F.
