Plant Services - September 2007 - (Page 66) Atlas Copco’s Integrated Compressor Systems Reduce Noise, Space Requirements and Operating Costs When a leading manufacturer of corrugated packaging wanted to address air starvation problems and excessive operating costs in its round-the-clock operation, Atlas Copco WorkPlace Air Systems met the demand while substantially improving operating efficiency. The system's energy savings qualified for a rebate from the electrical utility, lowering the cost of the project and shortening the payback period. Power consumption was reduced by 16,000 kW per month. Atlas Copco integrates the lowest noise levels and highest operating efficiency into our compact, “integrated” GA WorkPlace Air Systems. The inlet air filter, oil/water separator, condensate drains, refrigerant air dryer and outlet filtration can all be mounted in a compact, lowsound enclosure, eliminating the need for a dedicated compressor room. With a full range of WorkPlace Air Systems available, you can select the capacity and specific features that make sense for your operation.
