Overnight in Fairbanks. Day 2 Enjoy the Riverboat Discovery in the morning then head to the El Dorado Gold Mine. Overnight in Fairbanks. Day 3 Get set for this North of the Circle experience. As you ride the rugged Dalton Hwy and cross the Arctic Circle. You will overnight in rustic town of Coldfoot. Day 4 You will continue North over the continental divide to Prudhoe Bay. Overnight in Prudhoe Bay. Day 5 Visit the Prudhoe Bay oil fields and touch the frigid Arctic Ocean then fly back to Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks. Day 6 Take the Denali Star train to Denali. Connect to Denali Backcountry Lodge Coach for the most complete trip into the Park searching for Denali’s famed wildlife and enjoying the vista of the Park (see page 4 & 5). You will spend the next 2-nights at this very exclusive Lodge. All meals, snacks, programs and activities are included while at the Lodge. Day 7 Join the many activities at the Lodge from hiking, biking, gold panning, Natural History presentations and Wonder Lake shuttles to simply relaxing in our riverside gazebos. Day 8 After early morning breakfast buffet board the coach for another opportunity to enjoy the wonders of Denali searching for Moose, Caribou, Sheep and Grizzlies. Arrive at the rail depot with time to spare for an optional activity. Then take the train to Fairbanks. The tour concludes with your arrival in Fairbanks. Arrival in Anchorage. Overnight in Anchorage. Day 2 Travel south along the spectacular Turnagain Arm. Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Enjoy tram ride offering spectacular views of the valley. Overnight in Girdwood at Alyeska. Day 3 Take the motorcoach to Seward. Visit the Alaska Sealife Center. Return to Girdwood. Overnight at Alyeska. Day 4 Head to Anchorage. Enjoy a tour through the historic downtown district, Lake Hood/Lake Spenard and visit the Alaska Zoo. Tonight, enjoy the Iditarod festivities at the Musher’s Banquet (available to guests who reserve prior to December 1, 2007)! Overnight in Anchorage Day 5 Travel north to the kennels of four-time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser at his Happy Trails Kennel. Return to Anchorage. Visit the Iditarod Headquarters and see first hand a replica Iditarod Trail station. Overnight in Anchorage. Day 6 This morning, head to 4th Avenue to get a great spot at the start of the Iditarod. Watch each musher take off and enjoy other Iditarod festivities in Anchorage. Tonight, reminisce over your Alaska winter adventure at a farewell dinner. Overnight in Anchorage.
