BoomPilot records the GPS location and the location of the applied areas in a field. When a section of the sprayer boom overlaps an applied area, BoomPilot automatically switches that boom section off. When the boom re-enters the unapplied area, the boom section is turned on again. This automation can be a useful tool on point rows, curved rows, and at the end of each pass. BoomPilot offers automatic boom shut-off with the capability of controlling up to 15 boom sections, independent of one another. The product is an add-on device to existing GPS guidance systems or receivers and can be used in conjunction with most third-party rate controls. The module is designed for synchronization in telecom networks, such as UMTS, CDMA, or the Chinese TD-CDMA. It can also be used for applications that need time-accurate data communication between geographically dispersed systems and devices, such as NTP servers. The LEA-5T features a time mode function whereby the GPS receiver assumes a stationary position, which can be programmed manually or determined by an initial self-survey. Stationary operation enables GPS timing with only one visible satellite and eliminates timing errors which otherwise result in positioning errors. A built-in time mark and counter unit provides globally synchronized time-stamping and time-measuring, which can be used in applications such as seismic sensors or other applications with widearea synchronization needs. Spirent's existing GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo solutions are consolidated onto the GSS8000 platform with the addition of GLONASS L2. The GSS8000 architecture also supports QZSS, COMPASS, and GLONASS L3. The GSS8000 contains a programmable multi-path capability which adds four reflected signal ª imagesº for each primary channel, giving an equivalent channel count of up to 240 channels per chassis. Spirent Federal, www.spirentfederal.com/GPS Photo Watermarks u Pictrack is a geotagging device that watermarks photos with street addresses and exports them to image-sharing websites. The geotagger uses a pager-sized GPS receiver carried by users while taking photos; the receiver sensitivity is 158 dBm. The data can then be uploaded from the geotagger via a USB 1.1 cable, along with the corresponding images from the camera. The Pictrack software will then collate locations with images, providing the option of including the date, time, and address of where the photo was taken right on the picture. The Pictrack geotagger can store data for up to 208 days and operates on a 24-hour rechargeable battery. Image and location information can be exported to digital image galleries such as Google Earth, Picasa, Flickr, Snapfish, and Microsoft Virtual Earth.
