The Dig features a labyrinth of chambers with jellyﬁsh, piranhas and other species swimming among the ruins of the legendary civilization. If your clients prefer, they can take a guided tour with a navigator. Guests can walk through a clear underwater tunnel surrounded by sharks, or walk across a suspension bridge over the Predator Lagoon. They can watch the daily ﬁsh feedings, pick up starﬁsh in the touch tank or dive into the Paradise Lagoon to swim among the ﬁsh. Dolphin Cay Reservations are required for Dolphin Cay, a special dolphin interaction and education center with a 14-acre habitat opened in 2007. It’s home to 28 Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, including the rescued Hurricane Katrina dolphins. Programs start with an educational session and a choice of two dolphin experiences. The Shallow Water Interaction in waist-deep water allows guests to meet and play with the dolphins. The Deep Water Swim gives participants a chance to swim or snorkel with them using a water scooter. A portion of the program proceeds goes to the Kerzner Marine Foundation, which supports research, a marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation center, a breedand-release program for endangered species and coral reef conservation programs. Pools and Beaches There are 20 swimming areas that cater to every desire, including everything from zero-entry and children’s pools, to freeform and formal pools. Clients can enjoy The Bahamas’ beautiful white- sand beaches and crystal-blue water. Children can play at Splashers with fountains, water cannons and slides, while adults staying at the luxurious The Cove Atlantis can bask in the social scene at Cain at the Cove ultrapool and beach club. Adventure Thrills The Mayan Temple hosts the ultimate heart-stopper, the Leap of Faith, which sends adventure seekers on an almost vertical drop that ultimately passes through a clear tube in a shark-ﬁlled lagoon. Other exhilarating water slides here include the Serpent Slide, Jungle Slide and dual Challengers. The Power Tower’s four adrenalineproducing water slides include the Abyss, with a drop through waterfalls into an underground cenote with alligator gars. The three inner tube slides – the Drop, the Falls and the Surge – connect to a mile-long river ride called the Current with tidal waves, white-water rapids and wave surges. The complex, named Aquaventure, opened in 2007. The separate Lazy River Ride is a quarter-mile loop with a gentle current. Other Blue Adventures Tell clients to look for Blue Adventure Planners at various locations on the property to schedule water activities such as a reef snorkeling trip, snuba experience or scuba diving instruction.
