Numbers like occupancy, revenue per available room and average daily rate are good, so experts advise hoteliers to take advantage of these profitable times now. According to HOTEL & MOTEL MANAGEMENT’S third general manager’s survey, almost 51 percent of respondents indicated that their hotel will be renovated within the next 18 months. These general managers said they spend the most on guest amenities and services (24.8 percent), furnishings, fixtures and equipment (19.6 percent), food and beverage (17.1 percent) and linen and bedding (13.1 percent).
