The new property will open this month. Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center completed a $2.5-million renovation of the property’s 17,000 square feet of meeting space. The newly remodeled Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square debuted in March after a $24-million makeover, part of a $2billion global investment by the brand’s owners and franchisees. High Peaks Resort, formerly the Hilton Lake Placid, will open this summer in the Adirondack resort community. The 133-room resort’s redesign will feature a contemporary design with regional influences, including a two-sided stone fireplace in the lobby. Dolce Basking Ridge in Basking Ridge, N.J., began the first phase of an $8million redesign in which all 171 guestrooms will receive new furniture, luxury bedding and softgoods, including pillowtop mattresses, and 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The Embassy Suites Chicago-Lombard/Oak Brook completed a $6million redesign of its suites, lobby, restaurant, meeting rooms and public spaces.
