NYLO HOTELS Green re-opening The grand re-opening event of The Doubletree Guest Suites at the Walt Disney World Resort celebrated the completion of an extensive multi-phase renovation and the hotel’s designation as a member of the Florida Green Lodging Program. Other highlights included a fashion show to debut the NYLO Wear uniform line, designed by Daniel Vosovic of “Project Runway” fame; a silent auction of original artwork by local artists to benefit Habitat for Humanity; and a sampling of the cuisine at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, The Loft at NYLO Plano. Autism awareness On the fourth Friday of every month, employees at the Embassy Suites Chicago/Lombard/Oak Brook who donate $5 can dress down in jeans as part of the hotel’s “Greens for Jeans” campaign. At the end of October, 75 percent of the funds collected will be given to FelCor Lodging Trust for its Autism Foundation, and 25 percent will be given to the hotel’s CARE committee.
