Leisure travelers were prescreened for having taken a leisure trip of at least 75 miles from home during the past year that required an overnight stay. Using a 95 percent confidence level, the estimated margin of error for this segment of travelers is +/- 5.7 percent. A quota was established to yield an even gender split of male and female leisure travelers. The fieldwork for this study was conducted in August 2007. HOTEL & MOTEL MANAGEMENT will present the results from this Ypartnership survey throughout 2008. For additional breakdowns of the information, visit www.HotelMotel.com/ consumertrends.
