For those of you who read my column in the September 18 issue of Hotel & Motel Management, you might be aware of the exciting news that HotelWorld is becoming part of International Hospitality Week. W If you didn’t see the column, I’d like to share with you a quick synopsis of the latest developments regarding our show. HotelWorld has become part of the new, megaevent called International Hospitality Week. This development means that HotelWorld will be co-located with other dynam- ic hospitality industry events, including: “The Show,” serving the beverage, bar and nightclub industry; the International Restaurant Show-Las Vegas, serving the restaurant industry; and the International Las Vegas Coffee and Tea Expo, serving the beverage industry. It also means that new Are You Unhappy In Your Marriage? We Can Help You Find True Happiness! A franchise agreement is like marriage. If yours isn’t working, we offer an exciting new way to fall back in love. Our agreements are based on the 12 points of fair franchising, including: • annual exit opportunity • no kickback purchasing • no liquidated damages • guaranteed area of protection • And franchisees have an unprecedented voice in brand development, including equity partnership. If that sounds like we protect your assets rather than pad our pockets, you’re right. In fact, our franchise agreement is the best “pre-nup” in the hotel industry. dates for HotelWorld are Feb. 24-27, 2008, as part of International Hospitality Week at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As a benefit of its new role in International Hospitality Week, HotelWorld has been able to create “The Design Center.” The Design Center will be located in front of all of the entry points of HotelWorld and will showcase design products from exhibitors in every segment of the hospitality arena, including food, beverage and lodging. Attendees will be able to visit The Design Center as a one-stop shop for products, while exhibitors will be able to show their products among like-minded designer booths. In addition, HotelWorld continues to promote environmentally sound practices in the hospitality industry by having an area on the show floor aptly named “GreenWorld.” Exhibitors in GreenWorld will display products that are specific to providing a sustainable solution and support customer cost savings while staying green. This topic has become especially important over the past several years as hospitality industry professionals have recognized the need for their businesses to find environmentally friendly solutions. GreenWorld also will relate to the general session titled “Going Green,” held for all HotelWorld attendees to see how they can help their businesses begin the steps towards a greener future. Please make sure to check back in each issue to see the latest information and how you can be a part of HotelWorld, whether you are an exhibitor or a potential attendee.
