Semiﬁnalists will be notiﬁed by e-mail and winners will be announced during the HotelWorld awards ceremony on Feb., 26, in Las Vegas. 2007 Global Hospitality & Design Awards Hospitality Owner of the year in luxury, full-service and limited-service Third-party management company of the year in luxury, full-service and limited-service Opening of the year in luxury, full-service and limited-service Corporate citizen of the year Sustainable hotel of the year Hotelier of the year: Corporate Hotelier of the year: Property level Design Best guestroom design in luxury, full-service and limited-service Best lobby/public space design in luxury, fullservice and limited-service Best restaurant/lounge design in luxury and full-service Best spa design Best overall design in luxury, full-service and limited-service Hospitality awards Owners and third-party management companies of the year will be recognized in luxury, full-service and limited-service segments. Opening of the year will be awarded to new-build properties in luxury, full-service and limited-service. Hospitality awards also will honor the corporate citizen of the year and sustainable hotel of the year. The night’s biggest honor will go to hotelier of the year in corporate and property-level categories. Nominations are encouraged for these awards. Design awards Design awards will honor excellence in guestroom design; lobby and public space design; restaurant and lounge design; spa design and overall design. In most categories, awards will be given to winners in luxury, full-service and limited-service segments, with the exception of best restaurant and lounge design, which will be awarded to luxury and full-service entries only. “This organization reflects HotelWorld conference programming, which is divided by segment,” Higley said.
