I had a special familiarization with this property—I booked an association meeting there a dozen years ago, when it operated under a different brand and ownership group. I was blown away. Doug Dreher, president of The Hotel Group, the property’s owner/operator, and Leonard Clifton, the GM, explained how everything from the lobby to the restaurant to the pool had been gutted and rebuilt. Check out what’s below the surface R That brings me to our new website, www.HotelWorldNetwork.com. The first thing you may notice is that this new portal is not simply the website for this magazine. Rather, it includes content from our group’s four publications: HOTEL & MOTEL MANAGEMENT, HOTEL DESIGN, LUXURY HOTELIER and THE HOTEL TIMES. This allows you to search through more relevant industry content and find exactly what you need to do your job better. But, like the Doubletree, this was far more than a simple refreshing of our old site’s look. We’ve spent months creating a structural outline of what goes where on the site, how content is displayed, how search plays into the whole game, how navigation works, how we can highlight different content for you. Following your requests for additional online-only content, we’ve also revised our editorial workflow to provide you even more Web exclusives. So take a look at the new site. It is certainly a work in progress, and you can expect to see continual improvements over the coming weeks, as we implement your Victoria Burt, MANAGING EDITOR . . . . . . . . . . . vburt@questex.com (216) 706-3743 | Fax: (216) 706-3711 Jason Q.
