The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment release roared to the top of the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, outstripping its next closest competitor, Warner Home Video’s 300, for the second consecutive week. The suburbanites-turned-bikers flick also topped Home Media Magazine’s rental chart for a second time. Wild Hogs earned another $7.8 million in rental revenue for the week, bringing its total rental take to $17.8 million — or about 10% of its $168.2 million in theatrical earnings. TOP 10 RANK TITLE I N D I E R E TAI LE R R E NTALS Week ended August 26, 2007 STREET DATE VIDEO LABEL GENRE W Perfect Stranger, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, was the only other new feature among the top 10 on the sales and rental charts for the week. The thriller, starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, turned up at No. 3 on the sales chart and at No. 5 on the rental chart, with $5.3 million in rental revenue. Two TV DVD releases debuted among the top 10 sellers, Universal’s House: Season Three and Paramount’s South Park: The Complete Tenth Season, at No. 4 and No. 7, respectively.
