Home Media Magazine - November 18-24, 2007 - (Page 12) TV DVD ‘GET SMART,’ MUPPETS TOP AWARDS LIST www.homemediamagazine.com T he fourth annual TV DVD Awards took place Nov. 12 during a gala dinner at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Calif. Awards were given to the winners of 16 categories as chosen by consumers in an online vote, after a panel of judges selected the nominees from more than 160 studio submissions of titles released between Sept. 1, 2006, and Sept. 30, 2007. Special awards such as best of show and best packaging were determined by the judges. The TV DVD Awards were presented by Home Media Magazine in cooperation with TVShowsOnDVD.com, DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group and The Hollywood Reporter. Arnold, publisher and editorial director at Home Media Magazine, and Amy Jo Smith, executive director of DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group. Gord Lacey of TVShowsOnDVD.com (right, back) joined the emcees in presenting the one-season wonder award to Lionsgate’s Jenna Sonenschein for “The Dresden Files.” Mathers at the VIP table, enjoyed the rest of the show.
