Abuelita Rosa and Abuelito Pancho are intentionally Hispanic, and not Mexican or Cuban, for example, in order to be more inclusive and accessible to different audiences, Fenster said. “We have been looking to expand our children’s property into the Hispanic market,” said Berry Meyerowitz, president of Peace Arch Home Entertainment, in a statement. “The Baby Abuelita series is a great fit, as it entertains and educates children while staying true to Hispanic heritage.” The DVD has already won the iParenting Media Award and Mom’s Choice Award.
