Distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment, the film hits DVD Feb. 3 at $24.99. The film, released theatrically in October just before the November 2008 election, may have benefited from both active discussion of gay marriage as well as a strong fanbase for the show. The limited release earned a domestic gross of more than half a million dollars with more than $30,000 per screen, No. 2 per screen behind Clint Eastwood’s Changeling, released the same week, according to Logo. “‘Noah’s Arc’ was the highest shipped and purchased DVD, both season one and two, for Logo,” said Kristen Frank, SVP of multiplatform distribution and strategy for Logo. “The great thing about this audience is that they seek it out and they find it.” Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom comes with numerous bonus features such as a making-of featurette, director diaries, deleted scenes and a “shirts and skins” featurette on gay basketball team the San Francisco Rockdogs.
