Arnold he week ended April 20 saw 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment sweeping the national DVD charts, snapping up the first four slots on the sales chart and the first two positions on the rental chart. New release Juno debuted at No. 1 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert Sales chart and Home Media Magazine’s rental chart, with Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem bowing at No. 2 on both charts. Alvin and the Chipmunks, the nation’s top DVD seller the previous two weeks, slipped to No. 3 on First Alert, while a third new release, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, debuted at No. 4. According to Nielsen figures, Alvin is now T the year’s No. 3 seller, just behind Warner Home Video’s I Am Legend at No. 1 and Walt Disney Studios’ Enchanted at No. 2. In rental stores, Juno generated an estimated $8.4 million its first week in stores, according to Home Media Magazine market research. Aliens vs. Predator finished close behind with $7.7 million. The previous week’s top renter, Paramount’s There Will Be Blood, slipped to No. 3, but suffered a drop of just 17% in rental revenue for the week. After 12 days in stores the film’s total rental take to date is $15.6 million, or nearly 40% of its entire box office haul of $40.2 million. Fox also scored the week’s two top Blu-ray Disc sellers, although in the high-def arena Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem came out on top, and Juno bowed at No. 2.
