Nilma will provide a description of the equipment and materials used in this novel art and how to prepare the skin for the application of makeup. She will also share recommendations for set up of a convenient working tray, the correct technique for the actual spraying of the makeup and the use of templates for special effects. Nilma Flores is a leader in the arts of movie, television, photography and corrective makeup. She has done makeup for movies of 20th Century Fox. Now she teaches the techniques she has developed over the years working for artists and beauty queens… and for all women who love to look glamorous. At some point, a plastic surgeon may be the answer for your clients beauty needs. Dr. Vaishali Doolabh will give you a peak inside a plastic surgeon’s ofﬁce. We will explore the interesting world of options for facial rejuvenation. Certiﬁed by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and a graduate of the world renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Vaishali Doolabh completed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies from the prestigious Barnes Hospital and a research fellowship from the Washington University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed a subspecialty Fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery. Dr. Doolabh has been honored by grants and awards from the National Institutes of Health, Plastic Surgery Education Foundation and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. By invitation, Dr. Doolabh has contributed to and been quoted in The Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. She has been featured regularly on local television news for public safety discussions on plastic surgery. Who doesn’t love a new eye shadow or lipstick and wonder what the new makeup colors will be as the seasons change? Makeup and fashion go hand in hand. Show your clients you care about their looks from head to toe. Clients look to you to tell them not only what is hot but also what’s right for them. Your proﬁt is in showing that trendy client the newest and hot looks. If you are not up to date, they will go ﬁnd someone who is and buy from them! Be fabulous! Add a beauty and fashion cocktail party or event into the mix and you have a recipe for success and fun! A makeup demo on the “look” for fall/holiday 2008 will be shown. There will be three drawings for gorgeous trend items at the end of the class for lucky attendees. Noreen Young is a business owner of a posh and pretty makeup studio in sunny Florida. She is an educator and freelance makeup artist from NYC and worked with Diane Von Furstenberg, sports celebrities and icons such as John Madden and Chris Evert, and the Larry King Show. Scott Berry, member of the National Cosmetology Association, EstheticsAmerica, Association of Cosmetology & Salon Professionals and CIDESCO, began his career as a Makeup Artist at age 18. Since then he has been an educator and makeup artist working in salons, day spas and in 2005 he opened his own J. Scott’s Skin Care & Day Spa in Leesburg Florida. His day spa won “Best Day Spa in Lake County” for the past 3 years and in 2006 J. Scott was inducted into “Who’s Who Among American Professional Estheticians”.
