Now in its new life, the hotel’s accommodations, which include 129 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, are centered around a lovely waterfront pool area with cabanas and a Jacuzzi nestled in the meticulously landscaped gardens. During our recent visit, we found that Beachside, which comes complete with its own helicopter landing pad, brings a whole new level of luxury to this laid-back island, delighting wellLuxury Travel Advisor has just checked out Key West’s newest, most-buzzed-about resort, the Beachside Resort and Conference Center (www.beachside keywest.com), which boasts a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Aficionados of the southernmost point in the heeled clients with its sophisticated, personalized service. Nice perk: The condo-hotel provides frequent shuttle service to lively downtown Key West, just a few miles away. We found that the hotel’s spacious guest rooms are stylish without sacrificing comfort; we liked the framed photographs and artwork, mahogany furniture and neutral earth tones with seablue accents. All rooms provide marble flooring, high-speed Internet access, LCD flat-screen televisions with DVD libraries and state-of-the-art sound systems and tinted hurricane glass on all windows and doors. Other plush amenities include bath products by L’Occitane, Frette linens, plush robes and the latest in kitchen appliances and cookware.
