Spa Manager Ann Marie Dillon (annemarie.dillon@foursea sons.com; 353-1-665-4602) favors the facility’s La Prairie and Sundari products and says that the Four Seasons Massage is very popular. Pre-booking is advised for treatments and personal trainers; the pool, Jacuzzi and gym are complimentary. Tip: This is a child-friendly hotel and pets weighing up to 18 pounds are welcome. Kids’ amenities include mini-bathrobes, complimentary baby toiletries, bottles and blankets, as well as cribs and rollaway beds. If mom and dad want a night on the THE MERRION’s accommodations (Lord Monck Suite shown below) recall the Georgian era and are outfitted with authentic antiques. town, ask Chief Concierge Rhys Whalen (concierge.dublin@ fourseasons.com; 353-1-6654832) to arrange for a babysitter; Rhys can also organize butler service, Mercedes luxury cars, private dinners in Michelinstarred restaurants and just about anything else guests can imagine. The original wooden swivel door of The Shelbourne (www. theshelbourne.ie) was set spinning again this past March after an 18month, $57 million refit by U.S. designer Frank Nicolson. This is a good choice for clients who want unabashed luxury with a strong dash of nostalgia, as the VIP book reads like a Hollywood cast list. Now a Renaissance Hotel with 265 guest bedrooms (75 are new) and 19 suites, this 1824 historical landmark is just minutes from Grafton Street’s smart shopping. The 19 suites and Heritage Parkview rooms have views over leafy St. Stephen’s Green, as well as access to the Heritage Lounge, where complimentary food and beverages are available. The J.F. It’s the Shelbourne’s largest suite, with two en suite bedrooms, a sitting room and six-seat dining room. Numbers 186 and 448 are particularly bright and spacious Heritage Parkview rooms.
