The May Fair Hotel Stratton Street Mayfair, London W1 Tel: +44 (0)20 7629 7777 Websites: www.themayfairhotel.co.uk www.themayfairsuites.com As evidenced by the presence of King George V at its opening in 1927, The May Fair hotel, in the heart of London’s tony neighborhood of the same name, was designed with greatness in mind. Today, a natural complement to Mayfair’s endless selection of top restaurants and trendy boutiques, the hotel remains an urban Eden for celebrities and international sophisticates. Now, on the heels of a $150 million renovation, which included the addition of 12 new Signature Suites, The May Fair hotel is more exclusive than ever. To showcase the hotel, a new dynamic website has been launched whose aim it is to introduce the traveler to the true luxury feeling that the hotel casts. The website features detailed information for consumers, travel agents and meeting planners, specifying the most minute of characteristics, from information regarding the sought-after May Fair Bar, to the gym and spa, Palm Beach Casino and state-of-theart meeting facilities, which allow business to be discreetly conducted in 11 individually designed private meeting rooms. Along with the website’s arresting imagery, the new site also boasts innovative features such as the comparison calculator, a function which allows visitors to compare up to three of the hotel’s 12 Signature Suites. Another inventive tool is the “Suggest a Suite” option, which allows site guests to speak live with a hotel representative to discuss a potential booking. The new website also features helpful information from suite fact sheets, which offer dimensions and floor plans, to downloadable restaurant, bar and spa menus and conference room floor plans. Online booking is also available, as is the ability to track and access last-minute deals. Besides the Suites, The May Fair’s standard rooms are some of the largest in London. Superior, Deluxe and Studio rooms boast Catalan-design furniture and marble Sicilian bathrooms. THE MAY FAIR BAR (opposite top), a top London draw, exhibits a mix of classic and avant garde. THE PENTHOUSE SUITE (opposite bottom left) features a revolving bed and 100-foot balcony. THE AZURE SUITE’S BATHROOM (left) is detailed in gold leaf and mosaic tiling. A DUPLEX SUITE (top middle) is perfect for entertaining guests. THE SPA (top right) tailors guest experiences through an array of well-being treatments.
