CALENDAR 18 – 26 July JULY Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne The Blue Balls Festival is a top international music festival that attracts an audience of more than 100,000 over nine days. The festival presents blues, jazz, soul, funk, world, rock and pop, as well as photographs and films of a musical nature, in Lucerne’s KKL culture and convention centre, at an open-air stage and at the Hotel Schweizerhof’s club. www.blueballs.ch Sunday brunch «4 hands and 50 bells» An extensive buffet selection with summery specialty foods to the musical accompaniment of the spirited performance of the charming bell ringing duo Anita & Maik. The pair ring fifty concert bells at amazing speeds to classical melodies, folk music and popular songs and delight the audience with their nimble fingers. Parc & Chill Out Live saxophone and didgeridoo sound by AWI lets you forget everyday life and enjoy your well-deserved leisure time. The Beach Bar Lounge awaits you – a venue for exciting get-togethers and interesting conversations. «Zwei Küsten - Two coasts» vernissage, an exhibition by Will Irving Will Irving is an Australian artist who lives and works on the beach in Queensland. For some themes and subjects he draws inspiration directly from nature and recreates it in oil paintings. He also enjoys great success with his innovative «fresco» technique. This new medium has been especially developed to render his art suitable for indoor spa areas and also, for outdoor installation. After having captured the southern summer in Australia in various paintings, in 2008 he will be on the banks of Lake Lucerne for the northern summer – hence «Zwei Küsten» (Two Coasts). www.willirving.com Old-timer get-together in Vitznau Have you always wanted to sit in a real old-timer?
