Total hotel revenues were up 8.2%, and properties experienced a 5.9% average gain in sales from all other departments. Driving the spa revenue increase was the sale of services like massages, body scrubs/wraps and facials, as well as local membership fees, fitness lessons and personal training, merchandise and clothing. Of all hotel spa revenue, 51.3% came from the sale of massages. 8 CONNECTING YOU For more data and statistics on consumer and industry trends, visit www.travelagentcentral.com/stats TRAVEL AGENT (ISSN 1053-9360) is published bi-weekly 26 times per year, by Questex Media Group, Inc., 306 West Michigan St., Suite 200, Duluth, MN 55802.
