Travel Agent sat down with Michael Register, executive vice president of business development for Nikki Beach Worldwide, to get a full recap. Nikki resorts attract younger guests with a lot of money. Now, to clarify, Register says the resorts, mainly the flagship property Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos, have guests ranging from 25 to 80 years old, but we got the impression that this is a resort best suited 42 | TravelAgent June 9, 2008 BY JOE PIKE for younger clients with money. Target the sons and daughters of your baby-boomer clients. The chain is developing small properties (in the range of about 45 to 180 hotel rooms) in locations that have not been overly exposed or developed. In all, Nikki Beach Hotels and Resorts is planning on at least 15 properties everywhere from the Caribbean to the Middle East. Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts celebrated the grand opening of its first-ever luxury resort with a party at Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos Islands on April 5. The property has extended grand-opening rates, and now clients who book by June 30 can receive 30 percent off of nightly room rates on travel through September 30. Phase One of Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos Islands includes a 48-room, condo-hotel resort, Nikki Beach Club and VIP Ultra Lounge, as well as a mega-yacht marina. Phase Two, which will open in 2010, will add an additional 110-room, condo-hotel resort, casino and spa. In addition, this past month Nikki announced plans for a Grenada property.
