This year’s expo has been built around the goals of you, the travel professional. I’m excited to give you a sneak peek into the program. The conference program will kick off at noon on Tuesday, December 3 with CLIA’s Customer Relationship Management. This course will help you create the ultimate, top-notch customer service model for your agency. Starting at 12:15 p.m., Bruce Tepper of Joselyn, Tepper & Associates, Inc. will present, “Creating Buzz for Your Business: Hot Viral Marketing.” If you have a creative flair and a limited budget, this 75-minute session will give you an extensive overview on today’s hottest marketing technique. The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau is excited to be back again. Its session, “Aloha! Discover the Islands of Pampered Luxury,” will offer practical tips and advice about how luxury travel professionals may most effectively market and sell luxury offerings in Kauai, Oahu, Maui Nui (Maui, Molokai and Lanai) and the Big Island of Hawaii. Do you want to know more about niche cruising? If so, Tuesday’s program will include a session entitled, “25 Top Strategies for Selling Niche Cruises.” The last program on Tuesday will be the debut of “CLIA’s Self Assessment: Explore Your Abilities, Skills and Strengths.” In this unique, new CLIA seminar, you will be guided through a series of exercises to assess your professional skills. In addition to these fabulous offerings, The Travel Institute will also be holding its annual conference on Tuesday. The Travel Institute’s Conference, “Where Ideas Come To Life,” will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception. This conference requires a separate registration fee. It is available when you register for Luxury Travel Expo. The conference program moves into full gear on Wednesday morning.
