Location: Bangkok The floating of a krathong – made of a flower, candle and three incense sticks, and lighted before being placed on the water - is intended to float away ill fortune and to make amends to the River Goddess. A highlight this year is an illuminated boat procession to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary on December 5.
