Treasure Chest Magazine - November 2008 - (Page 23) Read, Listen, Participate It’s that Simple! I I I Steve & G i na m eRRITT n the past 35 months, Gina and I have continued to follow our recipe for building a successful Monavie business. We do the same things today that we’ve done since the day we started. We reached Black Diamond status in 125 days and now, as Imperial Black Diamond Executives, we credit our rapid success to three things; sticking to the basics, learning to do them better and doing them often. We follow the M.A.P. book and stick to the 10-step pattern. If it’s not in the M.A.P. book, we don’t even consider it. People seem to reach a certain rank or they achieve a personal goal and stop doing the steps that got them there. We would like to encourage everyone to get back to the basics. I’ve highlighted four simple steps from the M.A.P. book to help you get there: identify your dream, make a list of potential distributors, contact and invite and have meetings. When we started, Gina and I were just naïve enough to think that it might work. We were excited at the possibility that it would and we have remained excited and optimistic. The number one step is to determine your “why” or your dream. If you don’t have a big enough “why” or a big enough dream, then you don’t have anything to fight for. Our reason was to be able to bring Gina home from work. We didn’t make excuses and we didn’t rely on other people to build our business for us. The biggest problem I see people make is they wait for someone to help them create their business. You have to make it happen for yourself. You have to take responsibility and ownership. Next, we made a list of everyone we could share the MonaVie opportunity with. We started with the people we wanted to sign up to get our purple card and went down the list from there. Step 4 in the M.A.P. book outlines the most effective way to build this list. Once you have the list, start contacting and inviting. Set a goal for how many people you will contact per day. Page 23 of the M.A.P. book, “A Simple Way To Start Conversations,” urges us to look for people who are looking for an opportunity. This section outlines valuable ways to approach a person. Ask them, “Are you looking for an opportunity? Is there something you would like to have that you can’t have doing what you’re doing?” New distributors need to learn how to relate to people, believe in themselves and learn influencing skills. Next, host a MonaVie tasting party for all of the people you’ve contacted. It’s easier than you think. D Say hi to your friends, watch the Momentum DvD, drink the juice and sign everyone up. Keep it simple. Keep the meeting to 45 minutes. If you draw it out for hours, people won’t want to come back. utilize the Travel Flip Chart. It’s large enough for people to see and convenient to take with you. Now that you know four of the R3Global steps to Mona creating a successful Monavie business, remember to keep up with the maintenance. Read 30 minutes from a positive book every day, listen to a positive CD and participate at all of the main events . . . read, listen, participate. It’s that simple. We promote the R3Global System so that we don’t have to do all the work and others can follow our proven recipe for success.
