This information remains the fundamental means of contact with our constituencies even with all of the electronic means of communications at our disposal. In short, when all else fails, we can always send a letter. Correct, clean and current address information is an important intangible asset, not unlike the value associated with patents, trademarks and copyrights. Aside from clean address information, a clean print job increases the value of a mailpiece in the eye of the customer. Enhancing communication and improving productivity by eliminating manual labeling are just a few more reasons why in mail processing, it all comes back to the address. A Rugged, Reliable Solution To address the address, Neopost, the worldwide provider of mailing and shipping solutions, has introduced the Neopost AS-960, the latest addition to its line of desktop address printing systems. With the ability to print addresses, barcodes and graphics anywhere on an envelope, the Neopost AS-960 is designed to increase productivity while providing a highquality, professional image aimed at increasing direct mail response rates. As a complimentary product to the company’s existing desktop address printers, the AS-960 is a rugged, reliable unit that can handle up to two million duty cycles per month. It is an ideal choice for corporations, associations or quickprinters with mid- to high-volume direct mailing requirements. Reduce Costs with Better Postal Address Quality Approximately 24% of the nearly 200 billion pieces of mail the Postal Service handles each year have address inaccuracies. These address inaccuracies can affect delivery to varying degrees including non-delivery, slowed delivery, returned mail and mail delivered to the wrong address. The speed and accuracy of the delivery of this mail is proportional to the extent of the inaccuracies. Corrected address information moves letters through the mail stream faster because the Postal Service doesn’t have to “guess” the delivery point. An additional benefit to this is that mail is also delivered more accurately. Address correction is also a necessary first step for taking advantage of most postal discount programs. By leveraging CASS-certified address management software, the AS-960 automatically confirms and corrects addresses to eliminate undeliverable mail. With automatic address validation, the AS-960 lends itself to postal automation discounting, reducing overall mailing operation costs. Quality address information remains a critical component for improving customer contact, customer fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Increased Speed and Operational Efficiency Maintaining a high capacity output of up to 26,000 envelopes per hour, the AS-960 eliminates the expense and time needed to print and apply labels.
