Strength, resiliency and a sense of selfpurpose now characterize the man who took a wrong turn to discover he had been on the right road all along. Personal training has always been a natural fit for Pastorelli. He joined a national chain gym in 1999 as both a massage therapist and trainer. Within six months, he scrapped the massages and focused on training, serving 40-55 client sessions per week. Pastorelli was quickly promoted to fitness director. Building Genesis from the ground up, Pastorelli’s partner would own 100% of the building, with Pastorelli buying a specific amount of equity each year. e two would own Genesis 50/50. For a year and a half, during the construction and delays of the building, there were no additional negotiations, and Pastorelli believed the deal was done. ree weeks before the new facility opened, however, the partner approached Pastorelli with a new deal. e partner wanted him to give up Florida Fit Pros so that all training and supplements would go directly through Genesis. In exchange, Pastorelli would receive a lump-sum payment and an MARCH2009 WWW.FIT PRO.COM Things Go Sour Pastorelli and one of his clients decided that they would open a health club. http://www.frankpastorelli.com http://www.springhillbootcamp.com http://www.fit-pro.com
