Imaging Technology News - October 2008 - (Page 17) RSNA Show Preview RADIOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF NORTH AMERICA Radiology Desk Boasts Ergonomic Design Anthro will feature its Carl’s Table (Model CT08), advanced radiology furniture for reading soft copy and for teleradiology applications. MSK Extreme MRI Dedicated to Musculoskeletal Imaging ONI Medical Systems will showcase its new MSK Extreme 1.5T MRI, dedicated to musculoskeletal imaging, including joints and soft tissue of the extremities. It’s reportedly the most powerful 1.5T MRI with 70 mT/m gradient strength at 200 T/m/s slew rate. The ONI MSK Extreme is designed to provide high-image quality, fast scan times, robust pulse sequences for contrastenhanced studies and late echo imaging. This advanced technology reportedly combines with a fast ROI, patient comfort, small footprint and ease of use. ONI Medical Systems | www.onimri.com The ergonomic desk is configured with motorized height movement and quick leg speed adjustment from 28.5 to 48.5 inches. The electric tilt adjusts from 0 – 15 degrees to facilitate all individual work positions, sitting or standing. The tilting surface supports the forearm and shoulders, reportedly decreasing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Not only does the CT08 hold up to four monitors on arms, its Monitor Control System electronically moves the monitors in tandem forward/backward and up/down with the touch of a button. Monitors are mounted to a rail and actuators control the up/down and in/out action. Anthro Corp. | www.anthro.com Chest X-Ray with CAD Designed to Detect Early Stage Lung Cancer Riverain’s OnGuard Chest X-ray CAD is reportedly the only FDA PMA-approved chest X-ray CAD system. Working in conjunction with the reading of original standard AP/PA digital chest X-rays, OnGuard can quickly identify solitary pulmonary nodules that may be early stage lung cancer. It is designed to seamlessly integrate with any PACS workstation.
