We’ll overlook the weirdness of two teetotaler teens driving around Manhattan in search of a much-ballyhooed secret show and simply commend the adorable leads for keeping us engaged all the way to and through last call. Cera plays straight-edge Jersey teen Nick, who happens to be the only hetero member of his punk band, the (ahem…) Jerk-Offs. The bad news is that he gets dumped right before a show and, in typical Cera character fashion, has just cemented his embarrassment by giving his ex a mix CD. The good news is that his girlfriend’s arch-rival Norah (Dennings) sees not only the CD, but Nick onstage, and it’s crush on first sight.
