But we’re not complaining. This reissue should have the Seattle quintet’s notoriously devoted collectors in a tizzy, as Epic and Legacy are teaming to offer four versions of the grunge classic—one with the remastered/remixed original and six bonus tracks; one with the MTV Unplugged DVD; one in vinyl form; and one monster “super deluxe” edition with all the aforementioned goodies, a 1992 live set from Seattle and replicas of not only their original demo cassette, but frontman Eddie Vedder’s notebook. Phew! No corduroy jacket included… we think. Expect pricing along the lines of the latest Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails collections, which should appeal to both the frugal and lavish fan. And for those of you in high school when Ten originally dropped, expect to feel really, really old. N [ 20 + monitorthis! + march 2009 ]
