He gives incredible freedom to people on his staff within a very clear context of accountability. Lots of people talk about that, but Wall has two things going for him that many managers don’t. First, the people on his team are selfmotivated, energetic people with a sense of urgency, so they don’t need to be given direct instructions to accomplish tasks.
