CSE Pure Power - Summer 2008 - (Page 41) new products 41 ❮❮ PURE POWER // SUMMER 2008 Surge suppression devices Strikesorb voltage surge protection devices from Raycap provide continuous protection from overvoltage and other transient voltage activity for electronic automation and control equipment. The SPD modules are available in a variety of application-specific voltages and packaging configurations to protect highly sensitive equipment and electronics. The modules meet requirements of IEC 61643-1 standard and the recently (2007) revised UL-1449 2nd edition standard without the use of fuses. Modules successfully have passed three-cycle testing at available short circuit currents of up to 85 kA rms, and can be integrated within panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, automation, and motion control centers without conducting additional UL testing. Raycap Circle 451 Generator set Provide island mode operational capability with two G3520C natural gas generator sets. The gensets are offered in 60- and 50-Hz versions that are driven by an electronically controlled, lean-burn gaseous-fueled reciprocating Caterpillar engine. The sets have an ISO electrical efficiency of 38.4% at 60 Hz and 40.4% at 50 Hz. The sets operate at 60 Hz/1,800 rpm with a continuous rating of 2,055 ekW, or at 50 Hz/1,500 rpm with a continuous rating of 1,966 ekW. The sets have a standard NOx emissions rating of 1g/bhp-hr at 60 Hz and 500mg/NM3 at 50 Hz, with performance of 0.5 g/bhphr at 60 Hz and 250mg/NM3 at 50 Hz available through a 54 C separate circuit after-cooler system that can be used with a conventional cooling system arrangement. Caterpillar Circle 454 UPS platform Handle any input condition, while supporting present and future computer loads, with up to a 0.95 leading power factor without derating with the Liebert NXL UPS platform. The platform is available in 250 kVA, 300 kVA, and 400 kVA ratings. The platform features overload and fault-clearing capability, color touchscreen controls, matching battery, and maintenance bypass cabinets, and built-in battery cabinet breakers. Emerson Network Power Circle 452 UPS Protect tests and scientific processes with the FH Series 3 to 10 kVA UPS. Designed for analyzers, sequencers, diagnostic equipment, and gas chromatography instrumentation, the UPS assures the highest level of pure power. The series’ double conversion online design provides regulated power for a range of scientific equipment, from forensics and hospital biomedical labs to semiconductor production, robotics, and uranium fuel processing. The UPS features a low input leakage current that is under the 300 µA for use in non-patient-connected applications as well as input isolation. Falcon Circle 453 Generator set controls Make system upgrades easier, facilitate data communication between generator set components, and simplify system monitoring via the Internet with the PowerCommand generator set controls. Available in three configurations, all of which will include a main control board and a human machine interface, the controls feature intuitive generator set operation for all generator set function, including metering, configuration, and fault diagnostics. The LCD includes backlit graphics, plug-and-play operation, and dedicated manual/off/auto function switches with mode LEDs and configurable access code.
