CSE Pure Power - Summer 2008 - (Page 44) ❯❯ PURE POWER // SUMMER 2008 44 new products Power distribution unit Manage power distribution in data centers or highdensity rack environments with Powerware enclosure power distribution units (ePDU). The units distribute power to up to 45 receptacles and offer an IT manager receptacle level control, a Web server interface, userdefined sequencing of outlets, and virtual grouping of outlets to permit single-click reboots for multi-corded servers. The units are available for single-phase and three-phase applications up to 36 kW and feature a user-selectable combination of NEMA, IEC, and hardwired inputs and output receptacles. Eaton Circle 461 Tenant sub-billing software PowerLogic Tenant Metering Commercial Edition from Schneider Electric has been added to the company’s existing range of tenant submetering software. The new billing software enables commercial property managers to allocate and recover the actual cost of their utilities while adhering to government cost allocation regulations. The software includes fully automated meter reading functionality, an easy-to-use rate configuration tool to support complex rate structures, and comprehensive invoicing for multiple utilities. The software supports up to 2,000 Modbus metering devices and downloads data stored in the meters, maintaining enhanced data integrity and allowing property managers to identify peak consumption periods as well as energy savings opportunities. Schneider Electric Circle 463 Utility meter Diagnose electrical problems with the Fluke 113 Utility Multimeter. The meter’s VCHEK LoZ, low impedance measurement function allows users to test for voltage or continuity and it can also perform diode tests. The meter provides both auto and manual ranging capabilities and it meets Measurement Category CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V standards. Fluke Circle 464 Battery system Back up the primary power system by supplying power for 15 min. with the DataSafe 16-V battery. The battery is available in two sizes, 500 W per cell and 925 W per cell, and the 16-V front-terminated batteries require only 44 sq. ft to support a 750 kVA UPS system with a full 15 min. of run time. The batteries require 20% less space and scales to large capacity systems.
