To support future risk managers, RIMS Student Program is available to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled full-time (as defined by their school) in a risk management or related curriculum at an accredited college or university. Students must submit proof of full-time enrollment with a current transcript or letter from the dean on university stationery with the registration form and payment to: Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc., 1065 Avenue of the Americas, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10018. Please note: In order to qualify as a student, you cannot qualify for any other registration category. As an enrollee in RIMS 2009 Student Program, you will receive the following benefits: • Non-member student registration fee is $200 and includes a one-year RIMS Student Membership. The Student Member registration fee is $150. • Networking with peers, colleagues and industry professionals • Complimentary events exclusively for students • Admission to RIMS Opening Reception (individuals under 21 years old will not be admitted) • Admission to Wednesday night event • General Session and keynote presentations • Full Conference Pass, including breakfast, lunch and sessions (Monday—Thursday) • Admission to Exhibit Hall (Monday—Wednesday) anIta benedettI Student InvolveMent pRoGRaM (abSIp) Since 1978, RIMS has sponsored a group of outstanding students studying risk and insurance management to attend RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition. RIMS provides airfare, hotel expenses, registration and a small stipend for the students. Department heads from some 250 universities or colleges may nominate two exceptional scholars to the RIMS Student Involvement Committee, which selects students after reviewing submissions. The nominee must be enrolled as a full-time student with a major in risk management, insurance, business finance or management with an emphasis in risk management and/or insurance and with enough credit hours to be classified as a junior, senior or graduate student. Selected students are notified in January 2009.
